THOSE WHO SEEK TO HARM OR HURT US

 

Those who seek to destroy the people of God (the children of God) will themselves be destroyed. Know that the war which has been waged is not against man, it is against the Lord God Himself. It is a war that is already lost in the name of Jesus Christ---for our Lord is a Lord of war. The battle belongs to God.

PRAYER

​

Lord God, we humbly come before Your holy presence; giving all honor, all glory, and all praise to You; for we know that all power is in Your hands. You are the one and only true God. You are the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob. You are the same God who delivered the children of Israel from the land of Egypt; the same God who led and guided them through the wilderness with Your strong and mighty hand, protecting them and keeping watch over them day and night. We know and believe that all things work together for the good of those who loved the Lord, that all things are possible with God, and that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

 

Today, we come to You in prayer; praying Father that You once again raise up Your mighty hand as a shield of protection over Your people; bring Your sword against those who have raised their hands of evil against us, in an attempt to destroy what You created and purposed in and through us as Your people. Though we are scatter throughout the earth, we stand together as one in mind, in body, and in spirit. We stand in obedience to one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all. You are above all, through all, and in us all; and we have been called into unity in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. We stand ready and willing to answer Your call oh God.

 

As we abide in Christ, and Christ in us; as Christ abides in You God, and You in Christ; as the Holy Spirit of our God lives, breathes, and dwells within us, let us all be strengthened in the power, might, wisdom, knowledge and understanding that You alone Father so generously sewed into each one of us as Your children, for such a time as this.

 

As we are born again in Christ, let us be raised up together as a people and a nation that stands firm in our faith and belief in the God we serve, as we continue to patiently wait for the coming of our Lord. Our Father and our God, hear our prayers and rise from Your holy habitation to fight for your people once again, as we stand firm in You and in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Your Holy Spirit. Crush the hand of evil that has been raised against the people of God.

 

Lord, You said though we are scattered throughout the earth; if we seek You from the places we are in we will find You. If we seek You with all our hearts and souls, You will incline Your ear to hear us. When we are in distress, and evil comes against us in these latter days; if we just turn to You, our Father, and our God, and obey Your voice, You will not forsake us nor destroy us, nor forget the covenant You made with our forefathers concerning us; a covenant which You swore to them to uphold. Under the new covenant, we are sealed by Your Holy Spirit, sanctified, and consecrated by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which You poured out over us Your mercy, grace, love, compassion, and forgiveness. Today Father, we are calling on Your Holy Name from all the places we are scattered throughout this earth. Lord God we need You!

 

Let all those things which You spoke through the prophet Isaiah, and through your own Son Jesus Christ be brought to pass in his holy name. We know You have not left us or forsaken us. Lord, shake the very foundations of this earth so that the evil can be revealed, removed, and utterly destroyed, and all will know that You indeed are God; and You alone are the protector and Saviour of Your people. Lord strengthen all those who pray and fight for Israel; but confound and weaken all those who plot, plan and fight against Israel, bringing their evil plans to nought. This is your servant’s prayer in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

 

PSALM 83

1 Do not keep silent O God! Do not hold Your peace, and do not be still O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

5 For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them; they have helped the children of Lot. Selah

9 Deal with them as with Midian, as with Sisera, as with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,
10 Who perished at En Dor, who became as refuse on the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us take for ourselves the pastures of God for a possession.”

13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust, like the chaff before the wind!
14 As the fire burns the woods, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
