Exodus 35: Sabbath Regulations & Offerings for the Tabernacle

​

Good evening, welcome to our Tuesday Night Bible Study. Tonight we continue our study of Exodus 35. In this chapter, we find that God has given Israel yet another chance; the tablets of the covenant had been recreated, God renewed His covenant with Israel, and Moses is in the process of reiterating God’s commands to Israel; just as God instructed him to do. The topics we will be reading and discussing in this study are as follows:

 

  • Sabbath Regulations (verses 1-3)

  • Offerings for the Tabernacle (verses 4-9)

  • Articles of the Tabernacle (verses 10-19)

  • The Tabernacle Offerings Presented (verses 20-29)

  • The Artisans Called by God (verses 30-35)

 

​Acceptable Offerings

  • Jeremiah 7:21–28 (For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices)

  • Isaiah 1:11-20 (To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me)

  • Psalm 40:6–10; Psalms 4:5 (Sacrifice and offering You did not desire. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness)

  • Amos 5:21-24 (I hate, I despise your feast days, and I do not savor your sacred assemblies)

  • Matthew 23:16-36 (Which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold)

  • Hebrews 13:10-16 (We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat)

  • Psalm 51:16-17; Psalm 34:18 (The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart)

  • Romans 12:1-8 (By the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Honor and serve God with your spiritual gifts)

  • Hebrews 10:4-18 (For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins)
