OPENING YOUR HEART TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST IS THE FIRST STEP TOWARD SALVATION
Matthew 11:27-30 - Jesus said, all things are delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls; for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

STUDY TOPIC FOR TONIGHT
Tonight we begin our study of Leviticus 21; in this chapter we will read and discuss the rule of conduct concerning the priests as well as any imperfections that may be found among them. The chapter begins with the Lord commanding that the priests do not imitate the mourning practices of the pagans, and ends with rules concerning priests with imperfections.
God commanded the priests to teach about His statutes concerning the difference between, cleanliness and uncleanliness, holiness and unholiness, godliness and ungodliness; these things are spoken of many times throughout the scriptures. You have heard the old saying ”practice what you preach;” well, it is impossible to preach about something that you yourself do not take to heart. God stressed to His people back then, as He stresses to His people today; be holy for I am holy (1 Peter 1:13-25).
Unfortunately, in today’s world, we have many who claim to teach the truth of God’s word, but based on their behavior and actions; they do not practice, nor do they exhibit the behavior they preach and teach about. Many of the churches talk about what is considered to be acceptable conduct among the spiritual leaders, but the behavior exhibited is representative of the world, rather than that of God (Malachi 2:1-9; Jeremiah 23:1-4; Matthew 13:24-30; Titus1:5-16; Titus 2:1-15). Let us not be deceived in these times we are in. Hold fast to your faith, and hold fast to the truth of God’s word (Hebrews 10:19-23).
