Numbers 35: Cities for the Levites
Good evening, welcome to our Friday Night Bible Study. Tonight we begin our study of Numbers 35 (verses 22-34). In this chapter, God instructs Moses to command the children of Israel to give the Levites cities to dwell in from the inheritance of their possession, and to give the Levites common-land around the cities.
Six of these cities were to be given as cities of refuge; three cities on this side of the Jordan, and three cities in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge. The topics we will read and discuss in further detail include:

Deuteronomy 18:1-8 (The priests, the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel)

Joshua 21:1-41 (The children of Israel gave to the Levites from their inheritance, at the commandment of the Lord, these cities and their common-lands)
